Thomas Campbell is a Southeastern artist with a lifelong love of painting and art in general, a musician, mechanic, and lover of all things beautiful and magical in this amazing world. Beginning in first grade, he was often reprimanded by his teacher for drawing during class.
His childhood dream was to, in fact, be able to become an art teacher, but life and lack of ability to pay for school got in the way of those dreams.
Campbell was accepted into the Raleigh International School of Art after graduation, but, mainly for the above stated reasons, ended up in a technical college learning HVAC. Now he lives in a small southern town known for its brightly colored tourist attractions along the North/South Carolina state line and cut perfectly by I-95. Campbell was born and raised within twenty minutes of the same area where he’s lived for his entire life. The piece he's offered up for your viewing is titled Fear of Aging; it is a view of the human nature of worry and dreams lost or passed by. The fear that with our youth passing so does our opportunity and importance.
