After spending almost 20 years in architectural photography in Connecticut, I retired to the exceptionally beautiful area of Beaufort, South Carolina in 2001. I now concentrate on Fine Art Photography with a slight edge towards impressionism. A traveler at heart, my journeys around the world have created a portfolio of dramatic, colorful and inspiring images. Born and raised in Schenectady, NY, I graduated from Nazareth College in Rochester, and received my MBA in Marketing from the University at Albany (NY).
In 2010-11, I was fortunate to be associated with the Beaufort Three-Century project which enabled me to create an exhibit and book called Hands Across the Lowcountry. In the Fall of 2015, I published Cats of Beaufort, photo essay softcover book as a fundraiser for Tabby House Shelter in Beaufort.
My art has received acceptances and ribbons in over a dozen juried shows, including the Art League of Hilton Head Biennale in both 2011, 2013, and 2015, Piccolo Spoleto 2013 Juried Art Exhibition in Charleston. Solitary Pine was awarded Best in Show for 2011 for the Carolina Nature Photographers Association.
In the past 20 years, I have judged numerous photo competitions throughout New England and the Southern states. In 2011, I received certification in Image Analysis from the Photographic Society of America. I have been a featured speaker at Western Carolina FotoFest (2012) and the Charleston Center for Photography.
