Frol Boundin was born in St. Petersburg, Russia in 1974. He received his initial artistic training at the Leningrad School of General Arts. After moving to the United States in 1990 he received his BFA degree from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. In the following years, Boundin lived and worked in Chicago, focusing on large-scale abstract paintings and prints, as well as collaborative installations. In 2013, he received his MFA degree from the University of New Mexico. Since then Boundin has been exhibiting and teaching extensively throughout the US. In 2014, he has joined the University of South Carolina as an Adjunct Instructor of printmaking.
Mary Robinson is an Associate Professor of Art and Head of Printmaking at the University of South Carolina. She received a BFA in Studio Art from the University of Colorado and an MFA in Printmaking from Indiana University. Her work has been exhibited throughout the United States as well as in Australia, Europe and Asia. She has attended residencies at the Frans Masereel Centrum in Kasterlee, Belgium; the Vermont Studio Center in Johnson, VT; Hambidge Center for Creative Arts and Sciences in Rabun Gap, GA; and Mustarinda Art and Nature Centre in Hyrynsalmi, Finland. Robinson has received numerous grants and awards, including a University of South Carolina Provost Creative and Performing Arts Grant to work in Finland and Japan, and a Fulbright-Hayes Study Abroad Project in Korea.
