Conway, SC
Ed Streeter first learned to cut flat glass for window frames, doors and high rise condominiums. In 1985, he apprenticed in the stained glass department for a Myrtle Beach glass company. In 1994, Ed took a class in glass paperweight making. He says "It was either the best $50 dollars he ever spent or the worst." Since that day, glass blowing has been his passion. Ed studied glass blowing at Penland School of Crafts in North Carolina and at The Studio at the Corning Museum of Glass in New York.
Ed's career in glass spans 40 years. Many Horry County churches have stained glass windows designed and hand crafted by Ed Streeter. In addition, he has taught hundreds of students the art of stained glass. He currently teaches glass blowing classes to hundreds of students each year as he has for the past seventeen years. Although much of his time is spent managing Conway Glass, his passion is creating glass art. He now focuses his creative energy on creating stained glass windows, blown glass commissions and teaching his many students.
