Audra Yesnach has been a part of the visual arts teaching community in the Columbia, South Carolina area since 1998. She taught at Dutch Fork High School for 10 years, was Lexington/Richland School District 5 Visual Arts Lead Teacher, the Curriculum Mapping Coordinator, and a presenter for district initiated professional development. Yesnach worked with Midlands Technical between 2003 and 2016 as a photography instructor, and was also the Adjunct Instructor of the Year in Continuing Education in 2010. After time away from the high school classroom, she returned to Irmo High School part time in 2013 in support of their Fine Arts Magnet program. In 2015 she moved to River Bluff High School where she now continues to share her visual arts and educational experiences with the students and teachers there.
Originally from Birmingham, AL, Yesnach moved to South Carolina for graduate school after working in the private sector in Decatur, AL, as an award winning Graphic Designer and Art Director. She attended Auburn University where she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual Communications and Graphic Design, and later received a Master of Arts in Teaching in Art Education from the University of South Carolina. She is certified to teach K-12 Visual Arts, has been a National Board Certified teacher since 2003, and is additionally endorsed to teach Advanced Placement Studio Art.
