This mug is based on a creature known as a "Krill" or "Dark Dragon" from a game called Sky: Children of the Light. It's the first slab base mug that I've ever made. It's supposed to be spiky and rugged, but still functional. It's drinkware, but also an excellent decoration. Every piece is handmade, from the mug body to the spherical eye to its lumpy texture. I had a ton of fun and challenges making all the small details: making them symmetrical, keeping things pointed, maintaining function, and so on. This piece is perhaps my favorite ceramic creation of my own to date.
