Join us for the opening of TRANSPLANTS & CONNECTIVE ISSUES on April 20th, from 5 to 7pm. The exhibition features works by nine contemporary artists who have chosen Lake City as a home, a place to work or have artistic ties to the community. Artists Carlo Balistrieri, Jan Chenoweth, Symon Gibson, Roger Halligan, Ashley Hamilton, Herman Keith, Jr., Jerome Meadows, Tiffany Thomas, and LaToya Chanel Thompson are a core of artists drawn together in both social and nurturing roles in their new hometown. Each artist brings their distinctive approach to art forms and materials. The exhibition is a rich exploration of painting, photography, sculpture, mixed media and drawing. The artist’s visions are brought to fruition using both traditional and unexpected art materials including fiber, paint, metal, concrete, wood, and whatever else inspires the artist in the creation of the work. Sharing our work is a joy and an honor. Image shows "Divas on the Move" by LaToya Chanel Thompson
