The winding limbs of pecan and oak trees surrounded Jennifer Altman growing up in the rural south. Her art work reflects southern scenes that that have both amazed and intrigued her since childhood. These rural, untamed elements are fragments of the South. They are representations of moments when she felt small against the untamed beauty of the area. Each painting reflects a part of Southern landscape or life that she feels should be preserved.
The artist has a masters in School Psychology. She is a psychologist working and living in the local Lake City community. Jennifer began creating oil paintings in college.
