Botany Bay is a barrier island south of Charleston, SC. It was devastated during Hurricane Matthew, including the only path onto the island. The causeway bridge was rebuilt, and it was opened to the public in July. This photo was taken only weeks before storm surges from Hurricane Irma washed away this solitary beauty.
