Icarus, in Greek Mythology, is a character who has the wonderful gift of flying because of the knowledge that his father Daedalus has about the physical laws in Nature. Despite knowing the prohibitions and limitations, Icarus violates the rules and that brings him death. The parachute that protects him is badly placed and its use will cause him to hang himself. Today's scientific inventions that, in principle, should be used to benefit us are used to extinguish all including us as a species. When it is naively claimed that progress in a linear and non-stop way produces a better world that is handled by very few for their own benefit, it leads to aberrations in which greed and tyranny are invoked. Nature and the entire planet suffer a punishment from which there may be no subsequent regeneration. Madness is shown by the unbridled animals in a ritual that leads to insanity like a Kamikaze who pushes in his eagerness to accelerate the tragic end. The death of Icarus results in the death of his child.
