I started drawing when I was 5. I loved horse back riding and my babysitter, one of our town's renown artists, taught me how to sketch horses. This awakened me to the world of art.
From there I went on to private art classes that challenged me to try different mediums.
When I went to high school I was given even more opportunity to explore creativity in it's various forms. I soaked up anything I could get my hands on from photography to sketching, painting, sculpture, and art history.
Salvador Dali's art was a major influence in pushing me outside the box as an artist. I love that art can tell a deeper story and that the imagination has no limits in creating what it wishes.
I've learned so much from other artists, in the present and from the past.
Art has been a major form of expression through the highs and lows of my life. Seeking, finding, and creating beauty through tragedy has been my voice, when I have lost mine. I love creating pieces that tell an inspirational story.
