Explores the legacy of being black in America though the voices (perspective) of young black men in the DC area. Through this exhibition I provide the platform for these young men to articulate what their experiences have been growing up across their communities from various socioeconomic backgrounds and conversely how they feel their communities/system (be it educational, criminal justice, religious, occupational, media outlets) have viewed them. This is a rare exercise as many Black men never get the opportunity to provide their actual voice or have the accessibility of a safe nonbiased platform. The voices of the black youth are subsequently paired with the bust of Adult Men to emphasize the unique opportunity for the two generations to learn and discover commonalities amongst each other.
