Originally from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, I now reside in North Carolina. I am a traditional quilter, art quilter and encaustic artist. Following my husband both for business and enjoyment, we have travelled the world where I have collected ideas and photographs that influence my work. I studied art at the University of Saskatchewan, but most of my art education has been garnered through books and on-line classes and I now teach what I know to beginner quilters and encaustic artists.

I have won several awards for my quilting and have been featured in magazines, podcasts and video interviews and have now ventured into the art gallery world. I am part of the art quilt movement who’s aim is to make quilted fiber art regarded as relevant and collectible as traditional art mediums.
