A few years after graduating from University of New Hampshire, I moved to Greenville for a job transfer in insurance sales. My passion for photography was rekindled while exploring South Carolina's landscape, back roads and rural towns. My camera was the means of connecting with my new home and culture. After several years focusing on family and career, I felt a need to learn more through photography classes and soon after took on the challenges of wedding and portrait photography. After reading "The Artist's Way" by Julia Cameron, my photographic focus changed from a business perspective to art. The tight parameters of the lens allows me to observe more closely the intricacies of light, shadow, color and perspective. My ongoing project of abandoned mills has been in the works since 2015. My goal is to maintain their integrity while offering fresh perspective. My work can be seen at Open Art Studios, Greenville, SC.
