I grew up mostly in Laguna Beach, California, however I lived in 18 places by the time I was 18 years old; needless to say, stability wasn't in my vocabulary as a child. The last 9 years of my life have been the most stable years of my life, this is when I moved to North Carolina with my husband and two small children. I've been a working artist since 1998 and I've also authored several books, one on Baja Mexico, one about the environment called Sea Voices, and 2 photography books Called Distinctive North Carolina, Volumes 1 & 2.
I am a painter, a photographer, and a sculptor. I've had the most success as a sculptor in the past 10 years. For the last 16 years I have featured what I call my "circle of life" target-like circles in my paintings and in my sculptures. I started these when my daughter was born and my mother had just died of breast cancer as a tribute to both of them. My mother was a spirit medium and an advocate for equal rights & is still a huge inspiration in my art.
