Karen Brummund is an installation artist who works with video and drawing. She makes site-specific artworks for architecture and communities all over the world, including Casa Pole in Chile, The Sirius Art Centre in Ireland, and the Brady Art Centre in London. She works with museums and festivals like the Burchfield Penney Art Center in Buffalo, New York, the Everson Museum of Art in Syracuse, and Atlanta Celebrates Photography. Brummund participated in Artfields in 2015 and was accepted in 2020. She received an artist fellowship in Architecture and Environmental Art from New York Foundation for the Arts as well as a variety of grants from art organizations like the Experimental Television Center, NYSCA, and Cornell Council for the Arts. Many of the grants go towards making new art and dialogue in sites outside of art institutions. Brummund completed her Masters in Fine Arts at the University of East London in England and is selected for Digital Graffiti at Alys Beach in 2021.
