Rachel de Cuba is an interdisciplinary artist, curator and educator raised in Sebastian, FL. She received her BFA in Studio Art at Flagler College in 2013, continuing on to receive her MFA in Digital Art at Indiana University in 2019. She received recognition for her thesis work with grant awards from Indiana University. In 2019 she was invited to create new media artworks for the New Orleans Film Festival with support from the Andy Warhol Foundation. In 2019, Rachel was invited to be the first artist in residence in Nashville, IN through the Grunwald Art Gallery with support from Indiana University Center for Rural Engagement. Working between craft disciplines and digital technology, she explores the complications and beauty of being raised in an immigrant family in the American south. Rachel de Cuba is currently a member of the artists collective Tiger Strikes Asteroid Greenville. She is the Provost Pathways Fellow in Art at Clemson University and lives in Anderson, South Carolina.
