Has worked as a sculptor, carpenter and teacher for more than 20 years.
As a carpenter, he has worked on 1640 Scottish Highland turf thatch houses, restored important historic US houses like the Wingspan house built by Frank Lloyd Wright and oceans of Victorian family homes throughout the East coast and upper Midwest. He has taught Sculpture for over 20 years in 8 nationally recognized art programs including Maryland institute College of Art, University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee, and Virginia Commonwealth University to name a few. As a sculptor, Morgan has worked on large scale public sculptures, engaged in community collaborative projects as well as traditional gallery-based works. His work explores aspects of value or social stratification through form and installation. He lives in Cullowhee, NC where he teaches at WCU.
Morgan earned his BA from George Mason University and his MFA in Sculpture from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA.
