Temme Barkin-Leeds received the Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Georgia State University and a Master of Fine Arts degree from American University in Washington, DC. Her socially conscious work has been the subject of four solo exhibitions and numerous
exhibitions throughout the United States. She was a Fellow at the MacDowell Colony in Peterborough, NH and a Resident Fellow at the Hambidge Center. Barkin-Leeds received the Elizabeth Baaart Biddle Award conferred by the full faculty in the MFA program at American University, Washington DC. She has been juried into New York exhibitions by critics Jerry Saltz, John Yau, and Nancy Princenthal. She was adjunct professor at Piedmont College in Demorest, Georgia. She was featured in the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Burnaway, Arts Atl, Atlanta Jewish Times, Amlit, Paintpresent catalogue published by Loudon House Gallery, Lexington, Kentucky and Bound catalogue published by Women’s Caucus for Art.
