Nancy Jacey is an award winning, published artist and recognized for her large-scale Prismacolor pencil, acrylic and oil paintings. Her technique allows her to realistically capture the world in a vivid, colorful style and bring it to life for her audience. Going big is Nancy’s signature characteristic. Her artwork focuses on the small details in the world around us that we often overlook and brings them to life in exaggerated ways.
Nancy graduated from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University where she received her BFA in Studio Art (2002). She later studied at the Savannah College of Art and Design, earning her MFA in Illustration (2004). She is a member of the Colored Pencil Society of America, the United Kingdom's Colored Pencil Society, the National Association of Women Artists Inc., the Allied Artists of America and the International Guild of Realism. In her free time, Nancy teaches at her own studio, The Jacey Gallery, located in Richmond, Virginia.
