Jon Rappleye

I have been drawing and painting for as long as I can remember. My interest in art was nurtured by my parents, particularly my mother who liked to do paintings of flowers as a hobby. My work has been exhibited throughout the United States, with exhibitions at Jeff Bailey Gallery, NYC; Richard Heller Gallery, Los Angeles; Rhodes College, Memphis; The Salina Art Center, Salina Kansas; Jersey City Museum, Jersey City; and the New Britain Museum of American Art, Connecticut. My work is included in the collections of the Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art, Kansas; The Progressive Corporation, Ohio; West Collection, Pennsylvania; U.S. Art in Embassies and the New Britain Museum of American Art, Connecticut. I have been a residence at the University of Nevada; McDowell Colony; Cooper Union; John Michael Kohler Arts Center. I have received grants from the New Jersey Council on the Arts, The Ludwig Vogelstein Foundation; The Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation, and New Jersey Meadowlands Commission.
