I am continually on the search for old neon signs to paint to continue this series. Though the original signs themselves are usually rusted and decrepit, and the establishments bearing them well past their prime, I find beauty in this art form and love to capture the images on canvas. The Motel Sands is in St. George, Utah. The sands are not the beach sand we think of here in South Carolina, but red desert sands created from the mountains.
