Born in Lima to a Peruvian mother and American father, I came to New York City after my father's untimely death in 1964 and eventually became aware that I wanted to be an artist. I studied painting at the Art Students League and the School of Visual Arts. I moved to North Carolina with my young family in 1986. I am a painter and a mixed media artist.
