My work is focused on New Orleans, and, in a wider sense, Louisiana and the South. These are my muses. Most of my work springs from this culture, as nearly all of my work is of people, celebrating, or being weathered by, or interacting with, or expressing, or being expressed by their culture. I rarely take landscapes and am not so interested in architecture, unless as a background that helps comment on the subjects’ cultural space. All of my photographs are candid, unposed, unplanned, and seek to capture life as it is lived in New Orleans and the South.
