Covid19 #4 is one of a series of ten large scale paintings that combine visuals of doctors and nurses, mostly masked. The paintings were designed to support the wearing of masks and the following of public health guidelines to protect all of us during the Pandemic. This particular visual is based on a photo of a husband and wife team of nurse anestheticians at Tampa General Hospital. They work in the ICUs and Covid ward of the hospital, intubating very seriously ill Covid patients. The painting catches them at the start of their hospital day, saying "Goodbye" with the full knowledge that they are taking their lives in their hands.
