Born in Caracas, Venezuela, Gerry Stecca was raised in a creative yet science oriented environment. A life time of appreciation for nature's designs is reflected in most of his creative endeavors. Art studies began at San Diego Mesa College 1983-86 (CA) while seeking a degree in Biology leading to a BA in Visual Arts with a minor is Sciences from the University of California, San Diego. In May of 2015 he earned a Master in Fine Arts in painting from the Savannah College of Art & Design where he currently works a s full time professor. Throughout his career, he has collaborated as a freelancer with the creative side of various industries, from retail and hospitality, to working closely with designers and architects in the US, the Caribbean, Canada and Spain. Stecca currently resides and works in Savannah, GA.
