All my adult life has been spent as a working artist. Signage, murals, tromp l'oeil and works on canvas...whatever was necessary to pay the bills.
In the last 12 years I have moved toward abstract works in acrylic on canvas. I had gallery representation from 2012 thru 2020 at two galleries in central South Carolina.
When the pandemic hit, I had a change of heart about my work and decided to remove it from the galleries. I wanted to paint more personal / authentic works that express my own feelings about life and my inner universe. The mystery and uncertainty as well as the exploration of the dream world were what I wanted to try to depict now. I feel like my art is starting over again with more emphasis on studio practice than sales.
