My work explores the deep thoughts of human emotions. As an individual who has lived and worked in more than one country, and lived in a variety of neighborhoods and communities, the human faces have influenced my work in so many ways. I was inspired by the light from the window as it reflected upon the young boy's face. I was fascinated by the books he has read and the curiosity in his eyes as he looked back towards me sitting in his room, his own personal space. I hope the viewers will see that same curiosity and interest in his eyes as I did. I choose this subject, medium and style because I have a passion for painting portraits that communicates with me.
