Artist Niki Hildebrand

Lenoir, NC

Niki Hildebrand lives in Lenoir, North Carolina. She received a degree with Honors from the Rhode Island School of Design where she majored in Glass. She has been teaching ever since. During the pandemic with all three of her teaching jobs closed she became productive in her own studio and learning a new skill to work with Metal. This is a new sculptural process for her with much larger scale and much larger possibilities for her ideas to be set in motion. She has won 2 awards including a peoples choice in the last month (September 2022).

Her hard work and perseverance in the design and application of her ideas to Metal have finally come together and created a whole new body of work that most likely would not have happened if not for the pandemic during which she felt she had to keep herself busy by exploring what it is that she really wants to create and share with her community and beyond.
