After graduating from Georgia State University with a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, I continued my career as a research chemist at a local industrial chemical manufacturing plant. While working full-time as a chemist, I established a studio space in an old classroom at the repurposed United Methodist Church of College Park. My studio is currently located in the expired warehouse portion of BPS Logistics in East Point. As a scientist by trade, I carry over an intentional, research-based approach in my practice which I inject with a capricious and experimental sense of curiosity. My ongoing work in 2022 has orbited around herbicides, monuments, and the synthetic chemical revolution of the 20th century. Since graduating, I have balanced my own art practice and job with part-time studio assistantships for several artists around the city, contributing my woodworking fabrication skill set, chemical consultancy, and narrative documentation skills to solo shows and studio practices.
