Shannon Rae Lindsey received an MFA in Studio Art from the University of South Carolina and a BFA in Fine Arts from the University of South Florida. She has participated in twelve solo exhibitions and over thirty-five group exhibitions as an interdisciplinary artist exploring installation, sculpture, and drawing. Her artwork embodies notions of order and disorder with man-made construction materials that challenge their conventional context, setting, and utility. Her recent solo exhibition Displaced Processes was showcased at the Steven F. Gately Gallery at Francis Marion University in Florence, South Carolina and she was the winner of the 2014 South Carolina 701 CCA Prize. Lindsey is the UCF Art Gallery Director and teaches undergraduate and graduate courses at the School of Visual Arts and Design at the University of Central Florida in Orlando, FL.
