My love of colorful fabrics and threads began as a child…… watching and learning from my mother who patiently taught me to use a needle and thread and a sewing machine. Although I have experimented and worked in various other forms, I feel there is something very gratifying about working with the colors, textures, and versatility of cloth and thread.



My passion is creating fabric collage art quilts from inspirational photos that seem to speak or tell a story. The sewing machine needle becomes my paint brush and after stitching many layers of fabric scraps with many shades of threads, the finished pieces almost become realistic paintings on fabric. I like to describe the process as therapeutic and at the same time challenging and rewarding!



My fabric art has been exhibited at various galleries and shows throughout the country and has won numerous awards.
