Sam Bearden was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama. As an interdisciplinary artist, she creates drawings, paintings, sculptures, and digital art to explore the ideas of perception and personas, identity, emotion, and relationships while the world around her.
In primary school, her art was in Birmingham Botanical Gardens, the Birmingham Museum of Art, and the White House. She won various other art competitions. In 2015 when Sam graduated, she had her first solo showing in Ensley, Alabama at the Soho Cosmopolitan.
Sam is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Fine Arts at the University of Alabama. Since being enrolled, she has shown in local and regional competitions, as well as international online shows. She has been in many publications, displayed art at AEIVA , participated in various online juried competitions, was awarded the Betty Loeb Scholarship for painting for fall 2022, and shown in Bellwethers regional juried art competition for collegiate student art.
