This piece was inspired by my personal and professional life experiences. I wanted to portray an image where the human body transitions into a different state or circumstance. The concept of transition is wide and complicated, I began this piece in January of 2020, not knowing its full impact until later that year. This painting describes my change or transition I had to undergo to break away from my x-ray career to my dream of becoming a full-time artist. The image shows a man running towards something at full speed, like trying to scape the dark void it is in. Ahead the image of a woman ( symbol of hope and change), she hold on her right hand a sphere ( soul ). Inviting the desperate figure to come to her for a chance to escape. This image can be seen as well as a way to accept oneself and recognize your purpose in life.
