Amanda Yoder is a woodworker and artist residing in Waynesville, NC. A North Carolina native, she spent five years in Brooklyn, NY pursuing a career in musical theatre performance before moving to the mountains to start an urban farm and study craft.
Currently a student in the Professional Crafts program at Haywood Community College, Amanda’s work has already been exhibited at the International Woodworking Festival’s Design Emphasis competition (2022).
In her practice, Amanda seeks to draw from both historical and modern influences to make pieces that ground a person in their present physical environment while opening creative lines of communication with the past.
