"The harder you work, the harder it is to surrender." –Vince Lombardi
I started as a corporate graphic designer advancing to advertising agency owner. What challenged me most during my 40 year career was creating impactful visuals.
In 1987, under the urging of my brother, landscape painter–Joseph Paquet, I studied oil painting with traditional american artist–John Phillip Osborne. What I learned painting was helpful in my work pursuits, but painting took a back seat.
As corporate markets changed, clients gave less importance to the visual arts. With my creative urges feeling let down, I setup painting studios in my Florida and North Carolina garages.
Fast forward to my unplanned early retirement a few years ago. Loss of executive function as well as relearning computer graphics due to ischemic stroke in 2012. I relearned many functions and continued working for another 6 years before permanent disability and early retirement.
