I lost count of all the photos of us together after 800; so many memories together, too many to just delete, and too much time to just hide away. I layered each photo on top of each other, with each one a gentle goodbye to our relationship. And with each one, the less you could tell what that memory was. After 200 photographs, the program couldn't read that photo's data properly anymore and it became distorted. I kept adding until every last photo of us was compressed into a single image, a single file. Unrecognizable, a completely abstracted objective look at our relationship. People say time is what helps one heal from a stupid break-up, because with time our memories fade. We remember less details until we can't recall anything other than a vagueness. This piece is a physical representation of our time together, and an ode to the beauty of the passage of time.
