Jason Kash

Jason Kash was born in Alpine, Texas and raised in Bowling Green, Kentucky. He is an undergraduate student at the University of Kentucky, receiving his BFA in Studio Art and minoring in Philosophy and Art History. His interest in art comes from his belief in its power to communicate at a more fundamental level than language. Through working as a workshop assistant at Sculpture Trails and SLOSS Historic Furnaces, Jason has also come to see sculpture as a social as well as individual pursuit. Jason's understanding of nature being in constant flux informs the focus on process and complexity in his work. After undergraduate school, Jason plans on receiving his MFA in sculpture and continuing his artistic practice.
