I am a multi-medium artist working in 2D, 3D, and digital art. My primary mediums are painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, and installation. My work is an outward manifestation of my own internal dialogue and reaction to a tumultuous and information overloaded world, as well as my own personal experiences. Visually, my imagery comes from a sort of muscle memory of engagement within the blue-collar environs of New York City during my coming of age in the 1970s and 80s, and its intersection with southern culture in more recent years. Though rooted in earlier art historical periods, I feel my work speaks in a contemporary sense to current history and subject matter.
Originally from New York City, I now work and live along the South Carolina coast. I hold an MFA in fine art from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design, and a BA in studio art from Coastal Carolina University. Currently, I serve as an adjunct professor of art at Horry-Georgetown Technical College in Conway, SC.
