Isaac McCaslin was raised in Madisonville, LA. In 2013 he received his B.F.A. in Painting at the Savannah College of Art & Design in GA. McCaslin has received regional, national, and international awards including in 2018, The Best in show at the 26th Emerald Coast National Juried Fine Arts Exhibition Award in FL. In 2018-2021 he's also received awards at fine arts festivals such as the Blooming Arts Festival of Bartow, FL, The Winter Springs Festival in FL, and the Ebb & Flow Festival in Baton Rouge, LA. He was awarded an Artist Residency at the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown, Massachusetts for 2015-16, exhibiting at the Hudson D Walker Gallery and the Provincetown Art Association & Museum. In 2015 McCaslin created a group of Civil War drawings exhibited at the Ralph Mark Gilbert Civil Rights Museum in Savannah, GA and featured in several documentaries and a history book. His work has been acquired by collectors countrywide. He is a full time artist based in Savannah, GA.
