The cyclical phases of the moon represent the rhythm of time. It is a symbol of the soul and our capacity for reflection and adaptation. The Moon provides an analogous relationship to the stages of human development. The new moon infancy, the crescent of youth, the full moon maturity and pregnancy, and the waning moon representing the declining of life, sleep. With this collage, made from handmade Nepalese Lokta Papers and images printed on watercolor paper, my intent is to invoke emotion. Just as the Black Moon compounds the seeds of intention and desire. The Black Moon is the greatest reset, so let the vast nothingness of the black moon become your limitless possibility.
