Dylan Bannister

Dylan Bannister is an interdisciplinary artist whose works feature utilitarian subjects and antiquated tech to explore the concepts of memory, nostalgia, and liminality. His artist practice is based in Rock Hill, SC within Gentle Reminders Studio - a creative space established by him and his partner. Bannister frequently engages with fellow creatives to fuel his own artistic drive, and he has participated in and curated group exhibitions throughout the southeast. His latest solo exhibition 'Dialing Out' featured recent works from his 'Payphones on Film' photo series, and was presented at the Arts Council of York County, SC in 2023.
Bannister earned his B.F.A. in 2016 from Winthrop University, where he subsequently taught as an Adjunct Instructor. Since 2022, Bannister has managed art installations and experiences as Director of Inspiration Projects at ArtPop Street Gallery, which connects local artists to paid opportunities and provides turnkey creative solutions to clients.
