Bruise Wayne attended art school in NY, where he studied fine art and design. Combining his passion for art and writing, Bruise landed a job on Madison Avenue. Working 28 years in the advertising industry, as a Executive Creative Director, Bruise had reached the pinnacle of his career. With no higher to go, he instead looked inward. Was advertising changing or was he? He realized that much of the division and outrage created in today's society can be traced back to the "pay-per-click ad dollar model." And technology was making marketing way more predatory. Bruise decided it was time to use his God-given talent to help heal and create unity through his work. As a mixed media artist he lets the concept dictate the materials. Cement, Steel, wood, acrylic and found objects are common in his sculptures. His pieces contemplate the effects of technology on society. Are we more connected? Are we happier? And as we recklessly continue to innovate, are we racing towards a future we even want?
