Chase Lanier

Augusta, GA

Chase Lanier earned Bachelors of Fine Arts in Painting and Art Education from the University of Georgia, studying abroad in Cortona, Italy and Guadalajara, Mexico. He has worked with artists of all ages in summer camps, veterans programs, and after-school programs. Currently Chase is an Art Teacher at the Academy of Richmond County. He has participated in juried exhibitions, curated a variety of group shows, and shown independently over the last 20 years. Chase had predominately created paintings until beginning a focus on sculpture in recent years.



The visual narrative he has created documents attempts to give form to the unseen. Intrigue is the guiding force in his work, enabling explorations with deviations and discoveries which present possibilities for engaging viewers. As intrigue begins the journey, the engagement of the viewer is the destination.
