I have created these artworks to "show" the emotion my character is experiencing through her physical reactions symbolized by colors. Contentment is a peaceful ease of mind. Turquoise is the combination of green and blue colors, symbolized here by the color of the puffy long hair, and is found to be the most relaxing color, reduces body temperature, blood pressure and pulse rate. Turquoise evokes feelings of contentment, spaciousness and comfort. Curiosity is the strong desire to learn or know something new. It is the emotion that drives us to seek out information, explore new ideas, and ask questions. Purple, symbolized here by the color of the puffy long hair, is a combination of the calm stability of blue and the fierce energy of red. The color purple is often associated with ambition, creativity, mystery, and magic. Painting with colored pencil on drafting film brings the best of both worlds; painting and drawing.
