Norfolk, VA
Mike Watts is a Norfolk, Virginia based artist who graduated from Old Dominion
University in 2016. He has spent the last several years collecting matchbooks,
postcards, and other pieces of print ephemera. He has a love for legacy printing
techniques, sign painting, and other crafts that have largely been lost to time. In
much of his work, he aims to mimic the look of aged ink on paper, weathered
signage, and other forms of decay that he finds beautiful.
