I make gestural paintings that emphasize the inherent qualities of different mediums. I especially like how oil and watercolor interact together, so my recent work has focused on those two mediums. My work depicts recreations of my most-fond memories and is meant to evoke a sense of playfulness and nostalgia. I'm not someone who takes pictures during impactful or exciting events, I tend to enjoy them more in the moment. This unfortunately means that I can't look back on these events with pictures and have to rely on my memory. My paintings serve as a way to preserve treasured memories and relive the emotions I felt when they occurred.
