"Interfacing" is part of an on-going series that utilizes photographic screen prints of manipulated collage. All elements within the image are digitally printed photographs that are cut by hand, and temporarily composed like a still life. The resulting photographs of the setup are unedited. Free-form arrangements of clothing, fabric, and paper overlap to emphasize their connection. These depicted objects share similarity in form, while changing the intent of their original purpose. They are not static, immovable objects. It is a process of potential transformation. Pearlized sewing pins perforate the surface to reinforce the act of assembling something new.
