This work is the last in a four part series titled, "Early Impressions of Embracement." The series introduces the creature, Embracement, an asexually reproducing rover that spends each iteration of its existence searching for signs of life on a desolate planet. As a past version of Embracement dies, a new one is born, each lifetime as seemingly purposeless as the last. The cyclic nature of Embracement considers a timeless state of loss and joy. The creature grieves its past and future selves while maintaining hope for the child it carries. Therein, Early Impressions of Embracement ultimately serves to combat a growing state of loneliness. Following "It Does Not Find What It is Looking For," "It Cries Out in Song," the series' final work, considers feelings of passion and spirit despite the creature's ultimate predicament. The work aims to function as a celebratory image, depicting Embracement's ultimate acceptance of the paradox and mystery as it once again dies.
