His art and design reflect a nostalgic connection to the people and landscapes of his southeastern world, inviting viewers to share in the warmth and vibrancy of life that shapes his creative vision. As an artist, he is particularly drawn toward representing shifts in light and color and how they impact one another in a scene. Whether it is sunlight beaming through a backlit tree or the hard edges created by reflections in a still pool, he attempts to capture the essence of these variables and how they translate to a painted canvas.
